Notes: Clarence Irwin Moore was in the 1st Illinois Calvary in 1916, stationed in Brownsville, Texas. Sometime after that and the start of World War I, he returned home. On June 29, 1917 he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in Danville, Il. Clarence served until June 28, 1921. On his VA Claim form it states…State: Illinois, Grade: corporal, “Honorable” across the top, Good Conduct, Victory Medal, and FRENCH CROIX DE GUERRE.
